Tis Spring
So of course that only means that the Fort Worth Main St. Art Festival has happened. Here are the two artist that I found riveting among the hundreds that was there. There wasn't a lot to impress me this year, but these two artist did.

Sorry It's Been Awhile
I've have neglected my blogger duties for awhile. But I'm back and catching up. This installment won't have any Corita Kent don't fret there still is more of her to come, but I'm going to talk a moment about what has been happening locally in music and art for me. So grab some tea and a english muffin and have a bit of a look.
Want to give some love to my friend Grant for his poster of The Burning Hotels for their Modern Til Midnight show.
I'm glad that The Burning Hotels was there for Modern Til Midnight and I'm glad that the Fort Worth Modern Museum invited them. If they have cool bands like this, I might be a regular. I also need to get my hands on a poster to add to my wall collection. To learn more about Modern Til Midnight and when is the next one visit the Fort Worth Museum's website themodern.org.

A Month of Corita Kent
For This month I'm featuring Corita Kent's book "Damn Everything But The Circus". While roaming the aisle of the fort worth central library(yes the library is one of my visited places) I came upon this book. Amazed that it was a female artist and digged the typography it seemed so vintage yet modern for today. I thought I would share the whole book with you. I hope no ones comes after me for copyright infringement. I'm a fan sharing her work, for others who might miss out on this little gem and most of it will be cropped out because of my average size scanner. I hope you enjoy.
When ancestral kings corrupted their captains,
and the church blessed both captains and kings,
the court jester got laughs simply by sniffing
the troubled air : implying that the stink in the herring
begins in its head.
In times like our own, it isn't surprising
to find men and women crowding the night-clubs
in hope of seeing somebody sniff the air.
In such times, clowns become witnesses.

Soaring Voices-- The Crow Collection
If you live in the DFW area or you are going to be in Dallas between now and May 8th. Stop by the Crow Collection of Asian Art. They have this wonderful exhibit of Asian Ceramic art done by the women of Japan. The exhibit is called Soaring Voices.It's very amazing they really pushed the boundaries of clay. I really want to eventually get back into ceramics and these works really put fuel to the fire.

Day 28
The Last installment of 28 Days of Eve. Are not photographs taken by Eve, but of Eve herself.
The brief of briefest summaries of her life as for I haven't had the time to thoroughly think out what to put here. She was born April 21 1912. The obvious an American photojournalist. The first woman to work for Magnum Photo Agency. She started in 1951 and was a full pledge member in 1957.
Her first solo exhibition was in 1980 and it was of her work from China. It was at the Brooklyn museum in New York.
She left the United states in the early 1960s with her son England became her new adopted home.
She is now in a nursing home in London. She doesn't photograph any more, but she reads Thomas Mann,Tolstoy,and Dostoevsky.
